Easter at Hope

The resurrection isn’t the end of the story; it’s the beginning of ours.

Good Friday is a solemn day of surrender, where we remember Jesus as the seed that falls to the ground in death (John 12:24). Like the story of Lazarus in John 11, it is a moment of confrontation: with loss, grief, and trust in God’s greater plan.

Good Friday teaches us that while the seed falls, it lies in wait, preparing for resurrection and new life. It invites us to confront our questions, trust God’s timing, and hold on to faith even when the outcome seems uncertain.

Easter Sunday, Jesus’ resurrection is the ultimate fulfilment of God’s redemptive plan. As the first fruits of eternal life, His victory ensures that all who believe will share in the harvest. The empty tomb declares that sin and death are defeated, and in its place, hope, joy, and eternal life reign.

It celebrates the harvest of new life—a foretaste of the eternal Kingdom. We live in the post-resurrection age, in the foretaste of the eternal kingdom!
