Post Office Conversations

Author: hopecomms

I was at the post office sending a New Testament Bible to a relative. At the post office I laid the N.T. in front of the staff lady, who, looking at the funky title asked: “What is this book all about?”
My reply: “It’s the N.T. of the bible!” she replied:  “What’s that all about?” “It talks about Jesus’ crucifixion, for you and I!” she replied:  ”But up to a 1000 people were crucified at that time so isn’t He just another prophet?” My reply: “Ah but He stands alone as the only prophet who ROSE from the dead!” she replied: “mmmn”
Noticing this had taken some minutes, I said: “We must be holding up the people waiting.” to which she humorously replied: “I’m off for lunch!” and that will be $2 for postage. I paid up and suggested, (with Easter this weekend) “Why don’t you pop along to a local church this Friday and/or Sunday and hear more about your question, you could learn a lot!”
