Ministries at Hope Rolleston

HOPE WORLDWIDE

Hope Presbyterian believes God has called his Church to “Preach the Gospel and make disciples of ALL Nations.” Hope Worldwide is the ministry that reaches cross-culturally and enables us to do that around the globe. One of the ways Hope Worldwide exercises this ministry is through sending local people on both long- and short-term missions. The other way is by nurturing significant partnerships with indigenous people. In this way we resource mission by equipping people to reach their local areas with the Good News of Jesus Christ through word and deed. Each Hope site has a local mission team that takes an interest in prayer, communication, planning and profiling cross cultural mission at each site.

Hope Worldwide is always looking for people with a heart for global mission. You can get involved by...

  • Discovering others in our church family with similar connections/passions

  • Building Prayer networks/triangles/partners

  • Receiving email updates and information sharing

  • Attending specific training or input nights

  • Co-working on projects

  • Offer financial support

OUT OF THE BOX PARENTING

Out of the Box Parenting is a support group for parents of children with additional needs. It is a positive, non-judgemental space where we can be honest, share our children’s successes and challenges, and pray for each other. We all acknowledge the importance of each person having the time, space, and opportunity to share, and the opportunity we each have in offering support and understanding to each other. We meet every second Tuesday, 7:00pm at Coffee Culture in Rolleston.

MOTHERCARE

MotherCare Ministry supports mothers and families as they prepare to welcome their new baby into the family, and for the next 6 months after their baby arrives. We do this by connecting a MotherCare team member with the mother during pregnancy who will walk alongside, encourage and support the mother and family as they transition to the next season of their family life.
