Hey there!
We are an awesome bunch of young people from Hornby, West Melton and Rolleston that collectively make up Hope Youth! We are made up of a bunch of different youth communities that cater for young people from intermediate to high school age. We believe in building community and fostering a sense of belonging in our groups. We have youth workers committed to journeying along with you, no matter where you’re at! If you want to have fun, make friends and begin an awesome journey that starts with getting know an incredible God then you need to check us out!
Intermediates (Year 7-8)
If you’re intermediate aged you are welcome to join our bible-based programs on a Sunday morning at Hornby and Rolleston. We usually hang out with the adults for the start of the main service, then head off and do our own thing after the first few songs! We also run some fantastic Intermediate aged groups during the week: 630Fusion (fortnightly Fridays, 6.30pm at Hornby), Energisers (fortnightly Fridays, 7pm at Templeton), 359ers (Tuesday Bible Study group at 3.59pm, Hornby), Fuse (Year 7 – 13s, Friday nights at Rolleston) and RAMP (Year 7-13s, Friday nights at West Melton) as well as some awesome events throughout the year!
High School (Year 9-13)
It’s not easy being a teenager! At Hope, we have groups that cater to the different stages of the journey – to us it doesn’t matter if you’ve been a Christ-follower for all your life or if you’re just looking for some where to connect with people and belong to. We believe in good fun, good food and learning more about how our faith can impact our every day lives. We’d love for you to come a find out what we’re about. RePreSent meets on a Tuesday night at Hornby from 7pm and caters for Year 9-13s, Lime kicks off on Thursdays with a shared dinner at Hornby from 6.30pm and is for Year 9 & 10s. Our focus at Lime is to foster community, get to know God and to figure out what life with Him is all about. Green Zone (West Melton) meets at 5.30pm at West Melton, come along and find out more about what God has to sayto you. If you’re into fun and activities, get along to RAMP (Year 7-13s) at West Melton from 7pm or Fuse (Year 7-13s) at Rolleston on a Friday.
Camps, Events and Other Fun Things
We are all about doing the life together and celebrating the good times. Throughout the year there are opportunities for young people to get involved in having fun! We take a group to Eastercamp, plan awesome movie nights, go ice skating and get dressed up (not all at the same time!). We hope to provide young people with great memories and help them to make great friends as well! Every year we also take our high schoolers away on a camp, line up a fabulous speaker and eat some good food! We believe this is all key in growing in relationship with each other and with God.
