Alternative Education Teacher – Full-time
Tumanako Alternative Education based at Hope Presbyterian, 27 Amyes Road Hornby, is seeking a teacher for a newly created position. Experience in Alternate Education or Special Education is desirable and a current, NZ recognized teaching qualification is essential.
This is a full-time, fixed term contract commencing Term1 2018, working Monday to Friday, with salary continuing to be paid through the three end of term breaks. It is a fixed-term role due to the funding cycle.
Salary will be based on skills and experience, but can be expected to be around $47 000pa.

24/7 Youth Worker Vacancy: Hornby High School
Hope Presbyterian is seeking to appoint a 24/7 youth worker based at Hornby High School with specific focus in the year 8 and 9 classes. This 10 hours per week role reports to the youth director, and will commence on 25 January 2018.
The key elements of the role are as follows:
- Mentoring, managing sports teams, running programmes.
- Connecting with teachers
- Connecting students in with youth programmes outside of school
- Aiding teachers as needed
- Supporting the other 24/7 youth workers in the school
